Jane's Craftsman Style Tile-Top Dining Table
This table has a great story behind it. A local family wanted to get a surprise piece of furniture for Mom, and
knew that she liked chunky, southwest-style furniture and decor. So, they commissioned us to
build this beautiful table using Red Oak.
While I built the table, the family found a company called Terrapin Tile, to supply the ceramic
tiles for the top of the table. The result was an extraordinary table that will last a lifetime.
I used traditional mortise-and-tennon joinery, with cross pegs to set the joints. The color is
a light natural oak stain, with a hard-wearing polyurethane top-coat. The dimensions of the table
were 72-inches long by 48-inches wide by 30-inches high. This piece was a privilege to build.
We would be pleased to talk to you about commissioning a similar piece customized to your exact requirements.
